A native of Massachusetts, Dr Amy Parkman graduated from the University of Amherst with a Bachelors in Animal Science in 2002. Prior to vet school, she studied nutrition at Drexel University, and worked as a nursing assistant in the Intensive Care Unit at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Along with Dr Frost, Dr Parkman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After 15 years at West Chester Veterinary Medical Center and West Chester Animal Emergency Center, she joined Dr Frost at Whitelands Animal Hospital in 2018.
After being adopted by her first “behavior challenged” dog, Chloe, Dr Parkman developed an interest in animal behavior. Other professional interests include internal medicine, nutrition, chronic illness management, and senior health and longevity programs.
Dr Parkman is very excited to encourage health and wellness to both Whitelands patients and families, and to spread this message to our local communities. She happily resides in Chester County with her husband, 2 teenagers, dogs, cats, and chickens. She enjoys yoga, hiking, biking, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
